Universe Consistency
Society
In the recent past, the turned vampires revealed themselves to human society. Born vampires did not want any part of the reveal, which lead human society to believe only sanguine vampires exist.
All other supernaturals are still in hiding
Mates
Only born vampires have fated mates. Werewolves, Witches, and Demons also have fated mates.
Turned vampires do not. They may mention this in manifested rejection, and that's why Savio dislikes when Oscar calls him 'mate'.
Strength
The stronger the supernatural, the more mates they have.
This is a recurring theme in Admired by the Alpha's and Manifested Rejection. Nathifa may have all her men, but Deja has some discovering to do :)
